Feed-in Tariff

Solar panels

The Feed-in Tariff (FIT) is a payment made to those choosing to generate their own renewable electricity.

Helping people and businesses to generate their own electricity is at the heart of what Good Energy does. It’s the foundation upon which we see a 100% renewable UK being built.

That’s why Good Energy pioneered rewards for renewable generators a decade ago and support a growing community of them across the country. The introduction of the government Feed-in Tariff scheme in April 2010 has encouraged thousands more people to start generating their own green electricity. In this section you can find all the information you need to apply for the Feed-in Tariff with Good Energy, as well as details of the FIT payment process.

If you'd like to apply for the Feed-in Tariff, for a renewable generation system that you have recently installed, please download the application form to the right that best describes the renewable energy system you have in your home or business.
